چکیده

phy (MDCTA) and magnetic resonance arthrography (MRA) are superior to computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for evaluating shoulder instability (1, 2). Previous reports have indicated that MRA is more accurate for evaluating the capsuloligamentous complex, the glenoid labrum, the intracapsular portion of the long head of the biceps tendon, and the rotator cuff than CT arthrography (1, 2). Therefore, MRA has been a useful technique for diagnosing labral lesions that induce shoulder instability (15). CT shows high accuracy for detecting cortical defect and calcification of tendon and ligament. MDCTA allows multiplanar images of the lesion, and these images J Korean Radiol Soc 2007;57:471-477

Evaluation of Labral Pathology and Hip Articular Cartilage in Patients with Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI): Comparison of Multidetector CT Arthrography and MR Arthrography

BACKGROUND To compare the multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) arthrography (CTa) and magnetic resonance (MR) arthrography (MRa) findings with surgical findings in patients with femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and to evaluate the diagnostic performance of these methods. MATERIAL/METHODS Labral pathology and articular cartilage were prospectively evaluated with MRa and CTa in 14 hips of...

Magnetic resonance arthrography for assessing severity of glenohumeral labroligamentous lesions.

PURPOSE To compare magnetic resonance (MR) arthrography and arthroscopy as a means of assessing the severity of labral tear in anterior glenohumeral instability. METHODS 52 patients presenting with traumatic recurrent anterior shoulder instability were evaluated using MR arthrography; 30 shoulders with a labroligamentous lesion were treated with arthroscopic Bankart repair. Their MR arthrogra...

Accuracy of abduction-external rotation MRA versus standard MRA in the diagnosis of intra-articular shoulder pathology.

The goal of this study was to compare the accuracy of abduction-external rotation magnetic resonance arthrography (ABERMRA) with standard MRA in the diagnosis of intra-articular shoulder pathology. One hundred three consecutive patients undergoing preoperative direct MRA and subsequent arthroscopic examination were included in the study. Seventy-eight patients underwent standard MRA and 25 under...
